Keswick Christmas Fayre 2012
The Keswick Traditional Christmas Fayre will take place this coming weekend, Sunday 2nd December 2012 and will start at 11.30am. At this year's fayre Santa will be arriving with real reindeer! Santa and the reindeer will then remain in Keswick market square between 12noon - 3pm.
As always the market square will be full of decorated charity stalls and a range of street entertainment. The Christmas tree and shops will be full of colourful lights giving everyone a great event to start this year's festive period, an occasion not to be missed!
The Keswick Fayre first began in 1988 and since that time has taken place on the first Sunday in December. The Fayre continues to provide stalls for local organisations and charities to raise funds for their own specific good causes. None of the stalls are commercial and the event itself is run on a non-profit making basis. Stalls are only available for charities and for good causes such as local Schools, Scouts, Guides etc. Entertainment is provided throughout the day and there is also a small funfair for young children and a Santa's Grotto.
The main car parks will be free all day, courtesy of Allerdale Borough Council.
