Further North of Keswick
Further north of Keswick you will find the city of Carlisle located just south of the border of Scotland. You can take the 555 bus that goes direct to the centre of Carlisle. This part of England is enriched in history and the city of Carlisle reflects a lot of this history.
It is a must to visit Carlisle Castle and Carlisle Cathedral along with the Tulie House Museum which will all provide information on the vast amounts of history surrounding the borders area.
Just east of Carlisle you will also find the Roman Wall built by the Roman Empire to protect their lands from the invading Scots.
