Howe Keld is superbly situated in the delightful market town of Keswick and close to much of what the Lake District in Cumbria has to offer. In just a two minute walk you can be wandering around the shops (or the market stalls every Thursday and Saturday), or stopping in for a tea and cake in one of the many coffee shops. The Theatre by the Lake and Derwentwater are just a short flat walk away. Many people choose to stay in Keswick town centre with Howe Keld because of our convenient and ideal location.
We are surrounded by some of the Lake District’s most famous fells. Climb, walk and explore the nearby Catbells, Causey Pike and Grizedale Pike. There are great walks that can be started right from our doorstep and suitable for a range of ages. We try and encourage people to leave their cars. There is a great bus service and Keswick Launch is a nice way to get to the start of your walk too!
